Editorial policy
Rural Concert Journal aims to publish accurate, independent and clearly framed writing about rural concert-going and live music. We make distinctions between established context, interpretation and opinion, and correct errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and care
We check names, dates, quotations and factual claims against suitable sources before publication. Where a subject is uncertain or accounts differ, we say so rather than smoothing away the uncertainty. Our articles offer cultural context and general information, not professional advice or a substitute for checking details that apply to a particular event.
Independence and disclosure
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers, not to secure favourable coverage. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is plainly labelled so that readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee an editorial mention or a positive view.
Corrections and illustrations
Readers may send corrections through the Contact page. We review specific, actionable notes and amend confirmed errors with care; significant changes are identified where appropriate. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence, and we label them when they could be mistaken for documentary images.
A concert belongs to its place
We look beyond the stage to the rooms, habits and local particulars that make live music feel rooted in a landscape.
